Information

This homemade RF dummy load is not very easy to build to operate up in the UHF frequency range, and 4 metal film axial lead resistors are the maximum amount to build to operate up in the UHF frequency range due to high parallel capacitance between the resistor body's internal metal terminal caps and ground. That is has a male N type connector in which N type connector are better to use in the UHF frequency range, and you may need RF adapter in order to connect to other type of connectors.

So in order to build a higher power dummy load, it would require a flange mount chip RF dummy load resistor in order to operate in the UHF frequency range, but that a flange mount chip resistor would have to be mounted on a heat sink that is capable of handling the power and heat dissipation.
